Przekazany w darze Towarzystwu im. Fryderyka Chopina przez Artura Rubinsteina 16 i 17 czerwca 1977 roku. Od 2005 roku depozyt Towarzystwa im. Fryderyka Chopina w Narodowym Instytucie Fryderyka Chopina.
