Rycina wydrukowana na rozkładówce czasopisma "L'Univers illustré". W dolnej partii awersu scena z pogrzebu George Sand: w centrum kompozycji kościół, wokół niego stojący uczestnicy ceremonii pod parasolami, w prawym dolnym rogu drzewo i powozy. W górnej partii awersu trzy odrębne kompozycje flankowane wicią roślinną - od lewej: widok parku w Nohant, wnętrze salonu George Sand, widok parku z elewacją ogrodową pałacu w tle. W lewym dolnym rogu sygnatura autora ryciny. Na dolnym marginesie informacje o rycinie i odnośnik do strony 387, pośrodku górnego marginesu - tytuł czasopisma. W rewersie strony 394 i 391. W lewym dolnym rogu strony 391 oznaczenie własnościowe: okrągła pieczęć NIFC (czarny tusz) i numer inwentarzowy naniesiony ołówkiem.
