Karłowicz 1904 P, s. 27: "Według kalendarza stuletniego dzień 12 grudnia przypadał na piątek w latach 1834, 1845 i 1851, tak samo i 21 grudnia na niedzielę (data 21 grudnia postawiona jest na drugiej połowie listu). Nie może więc być najmniejszej wątpliwości, że list ten pisany był w roku 1845. Świadczą też o tem mazurki, o których ukazaniu się u Sterna Chopin wspomina.".

Object history note
Rękopis z kolekcji rodziny Fryderyka Chopina. Po śmierci kompozytora w posiadaniu Justyny Chopin (1782–1861), Ludwiki Jędrzejewiczowej (1807–1855) i Izabelli Barcińskiej (1811–1881). Następnie przekazany potomkom Ludwiki Jędrzejewiczowej. Znajdował się w kolekcji wnuczek Ludwiki Jędrzejewiczowej – Marii (1868–1932) i Laury (1862–1939) Ciechomskich w Warszawie. W okresie pomiędzy październikiem 1939 a 1940 rokiem przekazany na przechowanie na prośbę Laury Ciechomskiej stryjecznemu bratu – Leonowi Ciechomskiemu (1878–1946). Po jego śmierci uznawany za zaginiony. W 2011 roku nabyty przez Marka Kellera i przekazany jako dar Narodowemu Instytutowi Fryderyka Chopina.
